TOY STORY 3 - Back with a bang

Going to back to the first success PIXAR had about 15 yrs back, YES YES YES …. here they come again with the same Block Busting characters.

Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack), are not the only leading characters which lot of people will focus on, there is a lot more in the movie than merely characters in a story. Kids have always enjoyed their company on and off the screen in the shape of toys, there is a whole lot of team and every character has such a brilliant way of behaving and such creativity can only be expected by PIXAR & Disney.

Like Toy Story 1 & 2 had motivational & inspirational storylines, Toy Story 3 is no different but a lot better animation quality and a lot new stunts. The movie starts with a good and evil fight between Woody/Buzz Light VS Mr. Potatoes/Killer Monkeys when Mr. Potato and the gangs are trying to rob a train carrying a lot of cash and then later the whole actions turns in to a different scenario (I enjoyed this a lot). Andy (young boy who is the owner of the toys) has turned 17 and ready to go to college and can’t decide what to do with his toys, attic, charity or a daycare centre. Woody is the only one who is chosen by Andy to go to college with him. There are very emotional moments when toys want to stay with Andy but he can’t take all of them to college so he decides to put them in attic but accidently they are moved to Daycare Centre, where the whole adventure starts because that is not right place for them. There are a lot of new additions to the character and lot of them have negative behavior towards the new arrivals in their territory. Barbie (Jodi Benson) has finally met her dream man Ken (Michael Keaton) for the first time in her life. The adventure for Woody turns out to be a great fight with the hostile character and winning back the trust of decade old friends.

Screenplay is written very perfectly and the dialogues are very brilliantly timed according to the scenes and the characters. All I have realized when half of the movie passed in front of my eyes that there is a constant smile on face and I have been totally mesmerized by the whole idea of not just being viewer but thinking as I am the part of the whole story (honestly, I had no idea who I was in the movie, just a wishful thinking).

Toy story 3 is great opening of summer movies for minors. Talking about summer movies this movie had the same budget as Robin Hood (US $ 200 millions), by looking at the numbers, one can definitely imagine, how high the production team was looking at when they started this project. It’s a delightful treat for all the years to come since this is a great farewell to the classic characters.
